We present you with our own design on the Robbie O'Brien Neck Angle Jig

This jig will allow you to not only clamp in the body of the acoustic guitar and router the mortise for a bolt on neck, but this jig will also allow you to dial in the perfect neck angle on the guitar neck. 
Our design dresses the clamp with cork, but unlike other versions, the clamp or vise has a 15 foot radius milled into the back of the press so that the radiused back of the guitar is clamped with even pressure. This allows for an incredibly strong hold without potentially damaging the back of your instrument. 

The next innovation we added has been a nylon set screw at the tip of the aluminum bar used to adjust the proper neck angle. The set screw will allow you to set the correct measurement above the bridge location on the guitar soundboard so you don't have to use a ruler while trying to figure out the neck angle; this will allow you to keep a hold on your guitar body so there's less risk of dropping it as you measure the neck angle. 

Our aluminum bar is made from a 20mm x 20mm extrusion. Extremely strong so if you happen to drop it by accident, it will be less likely to deform; the technical term for that is: bad. I know a friend that happened to once... 

On the opposite side where the adjustable swinging shelf is, you will find two sets of holes that allow for 6mm and 1/4" dowels, respectively, so that you can use a guitar neck routed for a 6mm or 1/4" wide truss rods. You won't just have to use 1/4" truss rods. The dowels are extremely snug and do not allow any slop or movement, facilitating repeatable and accurate neck placement each and every time. 

The mortise and tenon routing templates are designed for a 7/8" wide tenon. Requires the use of a dovetail router bit tool: Amana 45838, and a 5/16" straight router bit. Please use 5/8" OD router guide bushing. Max depth of tenon and mortise: 3/4" deep.
